Lauren Geriak, LPC

Clinical Director

Lauren Geriak currently serves as the Clinical Director at Helix. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia. Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Women and Gender from the University of Virginia and her Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University. She has amassed valuable experience working in both private practice and community health settings.

Lauren specializes in providing treatment to adolescents and their families.  She has extensive training in trauma-focused modalities, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT,) mentalization-based therapy, and client-centered modalities. In her clinical practice, Lauren is passionate about using her experience in expressive therapies along with other evidenced based practice to help her clients access their own inner strengths to address a wide variety of emotional and behavioral challenges including anxiety, attention/focus difficulties, depression, self-harming behaviors, attachment, parenting, trauma, and loss.

Adhering to a client-centered philosophy, Lauren crafts an integrative counseling approach tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. This personalized method fosters a supportive environment where clients can embark on their healing journeys with confidence.
