Callie King, LPC

Therapist

Callie obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University and is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia.  

Callie has experience working with adolescents and adults in residential facilities, inpatient and outpatient programs, substance use treatment, and community-based work. She has a passion for working with adolescents, specifically with victims of trauma and marginalized populations. Callie is driven by using person-centered therapeutic techniques along with other evidence-based practices tailored to meet the unique emotional and behavioral needs of each client.

Callie values “meeting a client where they are” with experience in mental health issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood and personality disorders, self-harm behaviors, and suicidality. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and works to create a solid foundation of trust and safety within the therapeutic alliance.

Callie currently engages in group therapy and individual therapy sessions at Helix.
