Brianna G. Hurley, LPC, M.Ed.

Lead Therapist

Brianna graduated from George Mason University’s Counseling and Development program with a concentration in Community Agency Counseling. She is Licensed Professional Therapist in Virginia.

Brianna’s fundamental therapeutic orientation is person-centered theory, with particular attention to clients’ needs to better tailor their therapeutic experience. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic theories, and a Strengths-based approach to empower clients to realize and actualize their potential.

Brianna has worked to serve (pre-)adolescents and young adults with varying concerns and who are simply working to discover their ever-evolving identities and determine where they fit in.

Brianna has utilized Relational-Cultural Theory, Trauma-Informed therapy, and Mindfulness in her research on the implications of Group Counseling on the mental health and coping of activists. She is currently engaging in continued education in the following areas: DBT, ACT, and GPM-A.
