Ashley O’Bryon (She/Her) obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida as well as a Masters in Social Work from Walden University. During her time at Walden University she supported clients who struggled with eating disorders at Prosperity Eating Disorders and Wellness- a PHP/IOP program in Northern VA as well as worked with families experiencing birth trauma & grief and loss at the inpatient level of care throughout their stay on the NICU at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is currently a Resident Psychotherapist working towards LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia.
Having worked in the mental health space since 2018, Ashley also has a wide array of experience helping families navigate therapeutic treatment options across the US. Ashley understands that each family and clients situation is unique and works towards finding options that are the most clinically appropriate and accessible for them. Ashley is passionate about working with teens and families during this tumultuous time when access to youth mental health services is scarce.
While providing a safe and relaxed space for healing, Ashley meet her clients and families where they are by utilizing a person-center approach. she aims to help her clients from a path of self-destruction to a place where they can build self-esteem by treating the primary mental health issues that often are underlying causes of high-risk behaviors. She assists her clients in creating their own individualized toolbox of skills and coping strategies to understand themselves, relationships with others, grounding techniques, impulse control and emotion regulation. She is currently engaging in continued education in the following areas: DBT, ACT, and GPM-A.
